Healing Through Emotional Triggers: Listening to the Language of Your Body

Being 'triggered' can be thought of as a message from your body, guiding you towards an area that requires healing. They serve as a reminder that there may be unresolved emotions or wounds that need attention. Just as a signpost alerts you to a crossroads, triggers indicate that it's time to make a change if you wish to experience growth and transformation. 

  

Learning the language of your body is the first step towards achieving true healing. By becoming aware of the signals and messages your body sends, you can gain valuable insights into the root causes of your emotional triggers. This awareness empowers you to make conscious choices and take proactive steps towards resolving these emotional wounds. 

  

Stuck emotions and your nervous system's safety set point play a significant role in triggering emotional responses. When you experience trauma or challenging life events, if the emotions aren't processed appropriately (and let's be honest, they often aren't) you body then stores these emotions. Over time, these unresolved emotions can manifest as physical or mental health issues. self-sabotaging behaviours, and other negative thought and behaviour patterns.
